As souls were added to the church, an Usher Board, Pastor’s Aid Committee and church choir were formed. Soon after, a Building Committee was formed to expand upkeep and physical expansion of the Church. After the death of their pastor, Pastor Shipp also took on the leadership role of pastor at Mt. Calvary Outreach Church (Kershaw, SC) were he served for eight years. The guiding scripture for his life is found in Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all things shall be added unto you”.
